Communities are constantly evolving.  Apoll Gray Consulting works with communities to help them gain a deeper understanding of the needs and priorities of residents so that programming can be tailored to their unique needs and improve overall wellbeing.

Gender-based Analysis

Gender-based analysis is a methodology used to support the development of more effective and efficient policies, programs, and other initiatives.  GBA Plus contributes to a deeper understanding of who is impacted by an issue or opportunity and why; identifying how an initiative could be tailored to meet needs of diverse groups of women, men and non-binary people; and anticipating and mitigating any socially constructed barriers to accessing or benefitting from an initiative.  

Apoll Gray Consulting uses a gender-based analysis in all assessments, strategic planning, and monitoring and evaluation projects to ensure practical needs and strategic interests of diverse groups of individuals are considered in policies, programmes and projects.

Gender Audits

A gender audit is a tool to assess an organizations strengths and challenges in promoting gender equality.  It supports gender mainstreaming by identifying assessing political will, organizational culture, accountability mechanisms and organizational capacity.  A gender audit examines both internal and external policies, programmes and projects.
